Opening Hours on Pamukkale

The Pamukkale travertine pools and the archeological site of the Romany town of Hierapolis are open 24 hours a day,7 days a week.  However some of the facilities have more limited hours.

Hierapolis Archaeology Museum is open from 9 in the morning until 12:30 then again in the afternoon from 1:30 until 7pm.  It is closed on Mondays.  This is the building that encloses the original Roman Baths and houses a display of the smaller and more fragile finds from the site such as coins and other small objects in one of it's three galleries.  The other two galleries are given over to statues and sarcophagi respectively.

Antique Pool Spa - the Cleopatra's Antique Pool, where you may swim in the health giving waters among the fallen columns of the Temple of Apollo is open from from 9am until 7pm, but last entry is at 6:15.

The travertine pools are open at all hours.

Antique Pool

Situated above the Pamukkale white travertine pools is one particularly spectacular location fed by the same hot springs. Here you can bath in the same waters in which Cleopatra once swam! A professionally run modern spa facility allows you to enjoy these historical healing waters.

Unlike the white water of the lower pools the Antique Pool favored by Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt, is pure clear warm water. Once it was surmounted by a Roman Temple to Apollo with ornate roof held up with Doric columns. Imagine how Cleopatra must have experienced this when you imagine it in it's glory day.
